How To Clean A Travel Mug or Thermos

I know you probably just rinse your thermos or mug in hot water during the week, but once a week deep clean it to remove built up residue
I know you probably just rinse your thermos or mug in hot water during the week, but once a week deep clean it to remove built up residue
How to:
- Fill the thermos or travel mug with hot water and 1/4 - cup of white vinegar.
- If you visually see residue, add some uncooked rice, which will act as an abrasive to scrape it off
- Close the thermos and shake vigorously
- Allow some time for it to soak - even overnight is fine
- Dump the contents of the mug or thermos
- Rinse well
- Turn upside down to drain and allow to air dry
- Be sure to wash the thermos plug or travel mug lid with hot soapy water and rinse well
