I know you probably just rinse your thermos or mug in hot water during the week, but once a week deep clean it to remove built up residue

How to:

  1. Fill the thermos or travel mug with hot water and 1/4 - cup of white vinegar.
  2. If you visually see residue, add some uncooked rice, which will act as an abrasive to scrape it off
  3. Close the thermos and shake vigorously
  4. Allow some time for it to soak - even overnight is fine
  5. Dump the contents of the mug or thermos
  6. Rinse well
  7. Turn upside down to drain and allow to air dry
  8. Be sure to wash the thermos plug or travel mug lid with hot soapy water and rinse well

Why it Works:

Vinegar breaks down residue and is especially good at removing cream/creamer/flavoring residue. It is a natural and safe deodorizer

Linda Says:

The vinegar will not only clean the thermos or mug, it will also deodorize it
