This is the correct way to polish marble. If you use strong chemicals or products not made for porous stone you will ruin the marble

How to:

  1. Crush up some white blackboard chalk until it is a fine powder. This will be used to shine the marble
  2. Dampen a microfiber cloth and dip into the chalk powder. Continue to dip into the powder and apply as needed
  3. Wipe the marble down in long, overlapping strokes. Make sure you wipe in straight strokes, working only with the grain. Do not work in circles
  4. Rinse the marble with cool water. Use a clean microfiber cloth to wipe off all traces of chalk

Warnings & Cautions:

Do not use cleaning powders, cleansers or anything else that could scratch the marble

Why it Works:

Chalk is a very fine pumice that will polish without scratching

Linda Says:

This is a good time to seal the marble. Go to your home center or a store that sells marble and get a sealer that is designed specifically for marble
