What You Need:

  • A sponge
  • Rubber Gloves
  • Lint Roller
  • Packing Tape
  • Fabric Softener Sheet
  • Pet Hair Eraser Sponge OR Soot and Dirt Removal Sponge

How to:

  1. Dampen the sponge and wipe over the furniture, rinsing the sponge as needed - OR -
  2. Put on rubber gloves and dampen them or dip in water. Rub over the hair and it will roll up -OR -
  3. Wrap packing tape around your hands and wipe over the furniture or area. Change tape as needed
  4. Wipe with a used dryer fabric softener sheet
  5. Wipe with a Pet Hair Removal Sponge or a Soot and Dirt Removal Sponge. Find this in home centers, hardware stores and pet stores or Amazon.
  6. Use a lint roller for follow-up

What You Need:

  • Rubber Gloves
  • Dryer Fabric-softener sheet (Used)
  • Smoke/Soot Eraser
  • Lint Roller
  • Scotch® Tape (adhesive tape)
  • Sponge
  • Body-washing puff

How To:

CHOOSE ONE of the following methods:

Tip #1: Using a SMOKE/SOOT ERASER (Dry)

  • Rub the eraser on the surface to remove the hair
  • When done, wash it in the washing machine, but always use it DRY



  1. Wipe with a used fabric-softener sheet



  1. Wipe down with your hands while wearing the rubber gloves


Tip #4: Using a LINT ROLLER

  1. Using the roller, roll over the hair until the tape is not sticky anymore.
  2. Repeat as needed


Tip #5: Using a SPONGE

  1. Dampen (lightly) the sponge and wipe over the furniture
  2. Rinse sponge if necessary


Tip #6: *Using SCOTCH® TAPE

  1. Wrap tape around hands and wipe, changing tape as needed

*This Option might require using much of tape on the roll.



  1. Wipe with a dampened body-washing puff

This works great for removing pet hair from fabric on your furniture.

First Try using a vacuum to remove the hair. If this does not work, try one of the options shown in this cleaning tip solution.
